Feminized hemp seeds refer to seeds that have been pollinated from female hemp plants that have been induced into producing pollen. Since the hemp plants chosen for creating the seeds are female, the pollen created on these plants will carry almost all X chromosomes and the seeds resulting from pollination will yield female plants at around at 99% rate. These feminized seeds will carry a double XX chromosome instead of the standard XY split that results from traditional pollination from a male plant.

Thanks to advanced seed-breeding techniques, there is no need for growers to cultivate male plants only to toss them later. We sow our Abacus seed into a soil from Miller Soils called “CDM Pro” that is comprised of the following OMRI listed ingredients: Perlite, Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss, Coconut Coir, Compost, Biochar, Soybean Meal, CalPhos, Dolomite, Endo-Mycorhizzae, and Yucca Extract.

We have created seed starts from our proprietary hemp strain, and have sexed it to ensure there are only females. This is the best of both worlds, as you get a taproot (that would otherwise not be present in a clone / cutting) and since the starts have already been sexed, you don’t have to worry about rouging males.

Vigorous grower, can withstand early planting and spring snow. Grows right through bindweed, and does well in any soil condition, even with little to no soil amending. Late season frost will bring on ample trichromes and a striking deep purple color.

This has been a big problem for the medical and recreational cannabis industries, because every hemp farmer wants to have a crop of 100% female hemp plants that exhibit a consistent phenotype. Cross-pollination results when pollen from ‘foreign’ sources fertilize the hemp seed stock females and produce male and female hemp seed of unknown parentage. Trying to produce a 100% pure hemp strain seed in a greenhouse is risky and difficult because natural forces can bring in foreign pollen from miles away, be it from other hemp farmer’s crops, licensed and unlicensed cannabis grows or ‘ditch weed’. We only grow our feminized hemp seed indoors, in environmentally controlled grow rooms.

Starter Packs– The germination rate for our feminized hemp seed exceeds 90%, depending on the batch. We add 10% to any feminized hemp seed Starter Pack to make sure our hemp farmers have all the plants they planned for. If the order is for 100 female hemp seeds we will ship 110 seeds.

Bulk Hemp Seed Orders – We guarantee a 100% germination plant count on all bulk hemp seed orders of our feminized hemp seed strains. We extensively test the germination rate after we harvest our feminized hemp seed batches. If the batch’s germination rate is 95% we add an additional 5% to the order. For example, if the bulk seed order is for 10,000 seeds, and the batch tests to a 95% germination rate we will ship 10,500 seeds.

​Because of the hemp regulations we work under, it makes a lot more sense to ask the question, “What percentage of CBD will this hemp strain’s flower produce when the legal level approaches 0.3%?”.
