To create a dark, protected space, take another plate and flip it over to cover the seeds, like a dome.
Cannabis seeds require three things to germinate: water, heat, and air. There are many methods to germinate seeds, but for the most common and simplest method, you will need:
This is sometimes referred to as “cloning by seed” and will not produce any male plants. This is achieved through several methods:

In some cases, even if a seed isn’t completely mature, there’s still a chance it could be viable. But often these are extremely weak, take long to develop, and express other unfavorable characteristics. Growers usually discard weak plants to free up space.
As we’ve mentioned, cannabis is a dioecious plant, meaning male and female reproductive organs appear on different plants.
Additionally, every long-time grower will tell you that clones degrade over time.
Viable or not, there’s only one sure way to find out if a bagseed will grow. If you’re simply curious to learn and not as concerned with the overall outcome, you can plant a couple of bagseeds outside and see what happens.
Some of our most popular selections in this category include:
Our team has created both fast-flowering feminized genetics and autoflowering genetics to satisfy all types of growers. The former offers all the benefits of photoperiod strains, but with a reduced flowering time.
Quick One is one of the fastest auto-growing strains on the planet. The plant is based on the original auto flowering strain – Lowryder. This strain was created from a cross between William’s Wonder x Northern Lights x Ruderalis. These plants are usually ready for harvest in 8 weeks from germination. The plants also reach between 50 and 60 cm and can yield up to 150g per plant.
Feminized Fast Growing Strains
Autoflowering seeds can be both sativa and indica. However, they have been crossed with a type of cannabis called ruderalis. This enables them to flower on their own in as little as 2-4 weeks without exposing them to strict 12 hour light regimes.
Fast Flowering strains are hybrids of these and autoflowering strains. They are genetically coded to produce flowers quickly with little care, but still rely on a change in photoperiod to flower.
Our autoflowering varieties, on the other hand, are the fastest in our archive. Infused with Cannabis ruderalis genetics, these cultivars don’t require external cues to flower. Instead, they surge from seed to harvest in a matter of weeks, making them perfect for stealthy home growers.
Most autoflowering hybrids will start to flower two weeks after germination, and can be harvested about 7 weeks later. Quick One, for example, completes its full life cycle in 8 weeks and still yields up to 150g/plant.
If you want to grow cannabis as fast as possible, choosing a seed that’s been bred to mature quickly is key. It’s only common sense that it will be easier to hurry along a strain that will finish on its own in 7 weeks than one that prefers 12. Luckily, fast strains have been bred to meet every need and preference.
TAKE PHOTOPERIOD STRAINS STRAIGHT TO FLOWER
Compared to soil or a soilless mix, hydro can reduce your veg time by a few weeks. This method delivers nutrients directly to the plant’s roots so that they practically grow right before your eyes. It won’t make the flowering period go much faster, but hydro usually produces heavier, denser buds and bigger yields. You might decide that, in this case, the time was well spent.
Harvesting early outside is a little tricky. The obvious answer is to use autoflowering strains—and this does work. Depending on your weather, you may be able to harvest at least three times each growing season. Outdoor growers can also make photoperiod strains mature a little faster. Here are two things to try.
There are plenty of reasons you might want to harvest early. Perhaps you’re moving house and have to pack up your grow room, or you grow outdoors in a northern country where the autumns are short, cold, and brutal. Perhaps you’re low on weed and hate to fork over your hard-earned cash in exchange for your meds. Maybe you live in a not-so-cannabis-friendly place and you think LEO is onto you.
